Appeal for help

Md Abdullah Sherdil is an ex-student of Dhaka University's linguistics department. The father of two young children from Paikgaccha, Khulna was recently diagnosed with blood cancer.

For his Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, he is now taking treatment under Dr Abu Zafar Md Saleh, consultant and coordinator of Department of Haematology and Stem Cell Transplant, Evercare Hospital, Dhaka.

His doctors advised a bone marrow transplant as his treatment, which will cost around Tk 50 lakh.

But this is beyond the family's financial capabilities as they have managed to collect only around Tk 15 lakh till yesterday.

In this circumstance, Sherdil's family is seeking help to cover his medical expenses from the more affluent members of society.
