Appeal for help

Seven-year-old Nurul Islam Nayan, who was diagnosed with leukemia, has been undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Dhaka for three years.

His father Mohammad Kabir Hossain from Barishal already spent Tk 13-14 lakh on Nayan’s treatment. He has sold his only piece of land.

Doctors say Nayan’s treatment should continue for at least one and a half more years.

Nayan’s father is struggling to make ends meet and hopes to receive financial help from the well-off. They are currently staying at the shelter of ASHIC Foundation at Banglamotor for treatment.
