Akhtaruzzaman passes away

Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury, a retired deputy general manager of Janata Bank Ltd, passed away at Apollo Hospitals Dhaka on Wednesday at the age of 77.

He had been suffering from kidney disease, says a press release.

Akhtaruzzaman left behind his wife, a son, two daughters, a host of relatives, friends and admirers to mourn his death.

He was buried at Banani graveyard in the capital.

His father late Gouharuzzaman Chowdhury was a secretary to the Ministry of Food.

A doa mahfil will be held tomorrow after the Maghrib prayers at his Dhaka residence: Oriental Palace, House-85, Road-12/A, Dhanmondi.
