Action if cops take drug: DMP chief

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam today warned of taking action against the policemen are involved in drug-related offences.

“You (policemen) will never take drug. If any police official does so, he or she will be sacked after proving it through the dope test,” the DMP chief warned.

While addressing a meeting at Rajarbagh Police Line this morning, he said a team from the DMP headquarters will go to the doors of people to determine quality service of the police stations across the city.
