ACC chairman for procedural reform to stop corruption

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmood yesterday stressed the need for procedural changes in education, health and moral aspects to stop corruption.

“Let us make procedural changes in education, health and moral aspects aimed at stopping corruption for the sake of the youth,” he said at a discussion marking Victory Day at ACC's Segunbagicha headquarters.

Paying homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the martyred, he also said, “It will be a serious disrespect to the martyred if we get ourselves involved in corruption.”

“It is a must to stop corruption to ensure continuation of economic development,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, ACC Commissioner Dr Mozammel Haque requested all to take tougher stance against corruption to build a prosperous country.

Another ACC Commissioner AFM Aminul Islam urged all to uphold the spirit of Liberation War in their own workplace.
