73 iPhones seized at Dhaka airport

A preventive team of Dhaka Customs House today seized 73 iPhone 11 Pro worth about Tk 1.20 crore at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

Acting on a tip-off, the officials were vigilant at different points of the airport around 12:45am, Sazzad Hossain, assistant commissioner of customs, told The Daily Star.

While passengers passing through the airport’s green channel, the officials challenged one Mostafa Mia, searched him and found 73 handsets of iPhone 11 Pro in his luggage, the official added.

Mostafa came in Dhaka by flight KA110 from Hong Kong.
