48th death anniversary of Rafiqul Haider Chowdhury

Today is the 48th death anniversary of Rafiqul Haider Chowdhury, a martyred intellectual. He used to write commentary in newspapers under the pseudonym “Ishika.”

On this day in 1971, collaborators of the Pakistan Army picked him up from his Shahidbagh residence, took him away blindfolded and later killed him, said a press release.
