420 cartons of cigarettes seized at Dhaka airport

Customs Intelligence officials seized 420 cartons of foreign cigarettes at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early yesterday.

On receiving information, a team of customs intelligence conducted a driver at baggage belt and green channel of the airport, said Dr Shahidul Islam, director general of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate.

They found four abandoned luggage in baggage belt area no. 3 and found the cigarette cartons in the luggage. The luggage came in a flight from Kuwait.
