4 held at Rajshahi with fake Saudi currency

Detectives arrested four persons with stash of fake Saudi currency at Rajshahi city today.

They are all members of a money counterfeiting ring, our local correspondent reports quoting Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP).

Two were held from the gates of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital, while the others were arrested from a hotel room based upon their information.

They were carrying fake Saudi currency worth SR 20,000, RMP spokesperson Iftekhayer Alam said at a post-arrest press briefing.

RMP identified the culprits as Md Tutul Mia, 45, Md Ilu Sheikh, 32, Md Momtaz Uddin Molla, 28, and Md Bablu Sheikh, 35.
