31st death anniv of Abdul Rashid today

Today is the 31st death anniversary of Abdul Rashid, a freedom fighter, said a press release.

Abdul Rashid was the founder editor and publisher of the Daily Parbotto Barta, a vernacular daily of Chattogram Hill Tracts.

He was also a senate member of Chattogram University. Miscreants killed him while he was working at the daily's office in Rangamati on June 4, 1989.

Abdul Rashid was buried in Rangamati Banarupa graveyard. 

His son Mostafa Rashid Rony and daughter Sara Rashid urged their relatives, friends and well-wishers to pray for the salvation of the departed soul.
