3 int’l flights fail to land at Ctg airport

Due to dense fog, three international flights could not land at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport yesterday morning.

The flights were rerouted to Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, said airport authorities.

A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines coming from Muscat reached port city around 8:26am but could not land due to dense fog, said Wing Commander ABM Sarwar-e-Jaman, the airport manager.

Two flights, one of US-Bangla Airlines and another of Regent Airways, coming from Doha reached the airport around 8:22am and 7am, but also could not land, he said.

The flights returned to port city after 9am, he added.
