3 die in road accidents

At least three persons were killed and two others injured in road accidents in Munshiganj and Jashore districts yesterday.

In Munshiganj, two persons were killed and two others injured when a bus ploughed through a shop in Chandrabari of Louhajang upazila beside Dhaka-Mawa Highway around 8:45am.

The deceased were identified as Abdur Rahman Sheikh, 70, and Parash Ali Dewan, 65, said Manir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Louhajang Police Station. The injured were taken to Srinagar Upazila Health Complex.

Meanwhile in Jashore, Newaz Hossain was killed when a bus of “Shohag Paribahan” hit him in front of Sarothi Mills in Sadar upazila.

The accident took place when Newaz was getting off the vehicle, said a relative of the victim.
