3 die after drinking rectified spirit

Three persons died at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) after they drank rectified spirit yesterday, according to police inquest reports.

Hanif, 61, Abdus Sattar, 62, and Arbindu Guha, 72, were hospitalised after they fell sick in Sharikait area of Sandwip upazila, said Sandwip Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Shahjahan.

Sub-Inspector Prabhat Babu, who prepared the inquest report, said their family members refused to talk about their deaths. The inquest reports were made following primary inquiry and medical reports.
