2 held with 5,200 yaba pills in Ctg

Members of the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) in separate drives in Khulshi and Bakalia areas in the port city yesterday arrested two people and confiscated 5,200 yaba pills from their possession.

The arrestees are Ekram Hossain, 18, and Nurul Alam, 32, both from Teknaf upazila under Cox's Bazar.

Shamim Ahmed, deputy director (DD) of DNC's Metro Unit, said upon information, they found 3,200 yaba pills after arresting Ekram at Zakir Hossain Road in Khulshi and 2,000 pills after arresting Nurul in Fishery Ghat area of Bakalia.

Two cases were filed in this connection, said the DD.
