2 found dead in N'ganj

Two unidentified bodies -- one of a 30-year-old woman and the other of a 25-year-old man -- were found in separate places in Narayanganj yesterday.

Police suspected the woman was beaten to death and the man was slaughtered.

Locals informed police after noticing the body of a woman at Jamtola area in Fatullah upazila, said Sub-Inspector Fazlul Haque of Fatullah Police Station.

Her hands and legs were smashed, said the police official. They suspect that the body was dumped there after killing her in a different area.

Meanwhile, throat-slit body of the youth was found at Kapurdi village in Sonargaon upazila, said Sub-Inspector Raju Mondol of Sonargaon Police Station.

Both bodies were sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy.

Filing of cases in connection with the incidents were underway.
