1st death anniversary of Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury

Today marks the first death anniversary Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury, who passed away at the capital's Combined Military Hospital, after a month-long battle against Covid-19 last year.

Mohsin, who joined Bangladesh Civil Service in 1988, was  senior secretary at the Ministry of Defence at the time of his passing.  Prior to that, he served as secretary at the ministries of environment  and forest.

Doa-mahfils will be arranged today at the Ministry of Defence and his village home at Bijoykara under Cumilla's Chauddagram.

Mohsin is brother of Dr Kamal Abdul Nasser Chowdhury, a poet and chief coordinator of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee. His father is late Ahamad Hossain Chowdhury, a language movement veteran, and mother is Begum Tahera Hossain.

Mohsin completed his graduation and post-graduation from soil science department of Dhaka University. He was a well-reputed officer throughout his career.
