15th death anniv of Farida Sarkar

Today is the 15th death anniversary of Farida Sarkar -- a former newscaster of Voice of America, Fulbright scholar and former teacher at North South University -- says a press release. 

Farida, wife of former power and energy minister and Jatiya Party co-chairman Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, died of cancer at the age of 48.

Food will be distributed and special prayers will be arranged at orphanages for the salvation of her departed soul.
