14 members of ‘teenage gang’ held in Uttara

Rapid Action Battalion have arrested 14 members of an “organised teenage gang” and recovered an SBBL gun from their possession in Uttara area of Dhaka.

All the arrestees belong to a group name “First Hitter Boss (F.H.B)” which is locally known as “Tufan Group”, Rab-1 said in a press release today.

Rab said the members of the “F.H.B” have established their supremacy in Uttara area and engaged in criminal activities like bullying, ragging, stalking, snatching and taking drugs in front of different schools and colleges in the area.

Noticing the anti-social activities of the teenagers in Uttara, Abdullahpur, Tangi, Uttar Khan, Dakkhin Khan, and its adjoining areas, members of the Rab-1 have strengthened their vigilance on them.

On information, the members of Rab-1 team carried out a raid in Uttara area on July 20 and detained 14 active members of the teenage gang from in front of Uttara Rajuk office, the press release said.

The Rab team also recovered an SBBL gun and two shape weapons from their possessions, according to the press release.

During primary interrogation, the arrestees confessed that they run a dance club so that the teenagers become encouraged with their activities, the press release said.
