Mystery shrouds death of Ctg boy

A five-year-old missing boy was “mysteriously” found dead in the kitchen of his house in Chittagong yesterday afternoon, said the family.

Iman Haque Kayesh, son of Ezharul Haque, suddenly went missing from his house in Boalkhali on Thursday afternoon, said police, quoting the family.

Failing to trace Iman, his family filed a general diary that night. Meanwhile, they met several Pirs or exorcists to use their spiritual power to trace Iman, the father told police.

Yesterday, the family launched a new search after an exorcist, who came from Khhagrachhari, told the family that the boy would be found soon on the house premises. Hours later, Ezharul found Imam on the kitchen table around 3:00pm.

Imam's body turned black and his eyes were wide open, the father said. The family also claimed to police that the boy was killed by jinn.

Boalkhali police said the body did not bear any injury marks.

Police said they would send the body to Chittagong Medical College morgue for autopsy, although the family had requested them to hand over the body without autopsy.
