Mymensingh accused biting cop yet to be arrested

An accused in a drug case, who bit the hands of a police constable and fled away in Nandail of Mymensingh on Thursday, could not be arrested till yesterday.

When police were putting handcuffs on Shahabuddin, the accused, the female members of the house had attacked the police team with sticks and sharp weapons, claimed Nandail police Officer-in-Charge Md Ataur Rahman.

During the scuffle, Shahabuddin bit the hands of a police constable and fled the scene, he said.

Police detained Shahabuddin's wife and father but other members, said police.
