Guitarist Zeheen found dead in Dhanmondi

Young guitarist Zeheen Ahmed was found dead at his residence in Dhanmondi of Dhaka this afternoon.

Zeheen, 26, son of popular rock band Miles’ keyboard player Manam Ahmed, was the lead guitarist of Mechanix metal band.

He was taken to Labaid Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 3:30pm, Abdul Latif, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhanmondi Police Station, said quoting Zaheen’s mother.

Reason for his death could not be ascertained immediately, said Ziaur Rahman, sub-inspector (SI) of Dhanmondi Police Station.

However, quoting family members, the SI said Zeheen might have committed suicide at his residence in a six-storey building on road no. 6 of Dhanmondi.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College for autopsy, he added.
