Municipality mayor sued for corruption in Pabna

The Anti-Corruption Commission filed two separate cases against Bera municipality Mayor Md Abdul Baten and 12 others for embezzling Tk 78.6 lakh from government fund.

ACC Deputy Assistant Director of Pabna Md Jalal Uddin filed the cases with Bera Police Station on Thursday night.

The other accused include the municipality Assistant Engineer Md Firozul Alam, councillors Md Habibur Rahman Habi, Abu Daud Sheikh, Joynal Abedin, and Samsul Haque Khan.
