Molotov cocktail exploded at Ruet dormitory

A Molotov cocktail was exploded in a dormitory of the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (Ruet) yesterday afternoon.



Chowdhury Mahfujur Rahman Topu, a resident student and also general secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Ruet unit, said the Molotov cocktail exploded just next to his room (no 308) on the second floor of Zia hall.



He alleged that some anti-liberation people made the explosion to create panic on the campus.



The hall provost, Shahidul Islam, said they informed the authorities concerned and would take necessary steps after investigation.
