Mizanoor Rahman

Mizanoor Rahman, director (finance and accounts division) of University Grants Commission (UGC), passed away yesterday at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) at the age of 54, said a press release.

He left behind his wife, two children and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Mizanoor had been suffering from asthma, jaundice and kidney diseases for a long time.

UGC Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan and its other officials expressed deep shock at his demise and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.

He was buried at his village home in Khulna.
