Miscreants seek man, shoot mother

A 60-year-old woman was shot yesterday evening after three to four unidentified people stormed a sixth-floor Chamelibagh flat yesterday around 6:00pm looking for her son, said Paltan police.

Sharmin Sultana is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Ali Reza Khan was not at home during the incident. Officer-in-charge Rafiqul Islam suspects it to be business rivals of Ali, who provides satellite television channel connections.
