Minister leaves as 'pro-Jamaat' UP chairman addresses meeting

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque yesterday left a views-exchange meeting held at the newly-constructed Jaldhaka Upazila Freedom Fighters' Complex building as a “pro-Jamaat” upazila parishad chairman gave a speech on the occasion.

Earlier, the minister inaugurated the building. He was attending the event as the chief guest.

The meeting was held after the inauguration of the building, where the UP chairman was also present as a guest.

As the UP chairman gave the speech, the minister asked the organisers how a pro-Jamaat chairman was allowed to do so and eventually left the meeting.
