AS Mashiur Rahman passes away

Dr AS Masihur Rahman died in his Gulshan residence of the capital on Friday. He was 96.

He leaves behind a unique legacy.

He was the chief lead-engineer for the construction of the Jatiya Shangshad Bhaban.

Born in 1919, he was the first engineer to get a doctorate degree in undivided Bengal.

 He received his advanced degrees from Yale and Iowa State universities in the US with distinctions.

He left behind his wife and children. He was buried next to his mother's grave.
