Man sued for FB comments against two ministers

A school office assistant of Chittagong city was sued yesterday for making "derogatory comments" on Facebook against the education and road transport ministers.

Hazi Mohammad Ali, office assistant of Meher Afzal High School, was accused under the ICT act and penal code of writing several "offensive comments" against Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader between August 9 and October 5, 2015.

The general secretary of Consumer Association of Bangladesh, Chittagong  city, Hazi Iqbal Ali Akber, lodged the case with the court of Chittagong Senior Metropolitan Magistrate, which took it into cognisance and asked police to investigate, said complainant's lawyer Abul Hashem.
