Man murdered by sons in Rajshahi

A man was killed allegedly by two of his sons following a family feud in Rajshahi city's Baharampur yesterday.

Abdul Sheikh, 70, a retired peon of Rajshahi education board, was declared dead at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. Police arrested Shariful Islam Sharif after his brother Abu Bakkar Siddik Suruj filed a murder case.

Sharif owed Tk 4 lakh to Suruj. Sharif and Abu Taher Sujon, who is absconding, smothered Abdul with a pillow as he supported Suruj in demanding his money back, said Suruj. Their mother said the two threatened to kill her if she revealed this.  Sharif told police that Abdul died of a heart attack during the quarrel.
