Man gets life term for killing wife

A Chittagong court yesterday sentenced a fugitive to life imprisonment for killing his wife in 2000. 

Md Shamsul Haque, of Nabi Nagar of Brahmanbaria, used to torture Kohinur Akhter for dowry and on February 21 he strangled her with a scarf. Later, he hung the body from the ceiling of their Panchalaish residence in Chittagong city.
