Man gets life term for killing son

A Rangpur court sentenced a man to life term imprisonment yesterday for killing his son in Badarganj upazila nearly four years ago.

The convict -- Aminul Islam, 55, from Mosalmari village -- was present when Judge ABM Nizamul Haque delivered the verdict.

According to the prosecution, Aminul and his son Raihan Kabir, 22, had an altercation over a family feud on December 31 in 2014. At one stage, the father stabbed his son to death.

Next day, Rupali Begum, Raihan's wife, sued Aminul Islam.
