Man found dead in Khulna pond

A man was found dead in Deyana area of Khulna city yesterday a day after had gone missing.

Police recovered the body of Sheikh Anwar Hossain, 42, from a pond that is 50 yards away from his house, said Mostaq Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Daulatpur Police Station.

Anwar, a transport businessman, had been missing since he went out of his house on Monday, the OC quoted locals and the family as saying.
