Man to die for killing wife

A Chittagong court yesterday sentenced a man to death for killing his wife in 2014.

The convict is Habibur Rahman Fakir, 45, of Kalsi Dighir Par area under EPZ Police Station in the city.

According to the prosecution, on October 3 in 2014, Habibur stabbed his wife Rina Khanam to death over a family feud. Locals caught Habibur while he was fleeing and handed him over to police.

Later, victim's sister Ruba Khatun filed a case in this connection.
