Jibon remanded over assault of twins

A Dhaka court yesterday placed a 21-year-old youth on a five-day remand in connection with the case filed over harassment and assault of teenage twin sisters in the capital's Mirpur.

The court passed the order after Sub-inspector Anuz Kumar Sarker, also the case's investigation officer, produced Jibon Karim Babu before it. Babu was arrested in Mirpur's Beribadh area Sunday. On October 19, Babu, owner of Ahona Fast Food and Khabar Hotel in the area, severely beat up the two for protesting abusive language used by him.
