Local journo gets 'death threat'

An open market sale (OMS) dealer allegedly threatened a journalist on Thursday night to kill him over his report on irregularities in OMS in Lalmonirhat.

Jahedul Islam Somapto, 26, district correspondent of the Daily Share Biz, filed a general diary (GD) with Sadar Police Station the same night.

He said Rokunuzzaman Roman hurled expletives at him and threatened to kill him when they met in the town's Bahadurmor area.

However, Rokunuzzaman denied the allegation.

Officer-in-Charge Mahfuz Alam said they will investigate the incident.
