Landlady stabbed to death by tenants

A landlady was stabbed to death while trying to contain a conjugal feud of one of her tenants at Jalkuri Pashchimpara in Siddhirganj of Narayanganj last night.

Selina Akhtar, 48, wife of BNP president of Siddhirganj ward-9 unit Babul Prodhan, was stabbed when she went to stop a family feud of a couple, also her tenants, around 9:00pm, said Sarafat Ullah, officer-in-charge of Siddhirganj Police Station.

Other tenants rushed her to a local hospital. She was later transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, but she died on the way, he said, adding that the couple was on the run.
