JUJA gets new executives

Nur Alam Himel of Banglanews24.com and Abdullah Al Mamun Niloy of the Daily Ittefaq were elected president and general secretary of Jahangirnagar University Journalists' Association (JUJA) for one year.

Chief Election Commissioner of JUJA Professor Bashir Ahmed of Government and Politics department announced the committee yesterday at the university.

Others are Vice-President Plabon Tarique of Daily Independent, Joint Secretary Md Asaduz Zaman of The Daily Star, Treasurer Touker Rahman of the Prothom Prohor, and Office and Publicity Secretary SM Alamgir Mijan. Executive committee members are Shumi Akhter of prime news, Rahul M Usuf of Manabzamin, Shariful Islam Simanto of the Bangladesh Protidin.
