JU botany dept celebrates 30th anniversary

The Department of Botany of Jahangirnagar University yesterday celebrated its 30th founding anniversary amid great enthusiasm and festivity.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam inaugurated the programme at the department around 10:00am.

A colorful procession was brought out on the campusm and a discussion was held in the university's Jahir Raihan auditorium. Addressing the programme, the VC urged the botany teachers and students to play a vital role in protecting the biodiversity. The department chairman Prof Zahed Uddin Mahmud Khan presided over the programme.
