JS caucus for inviting railway tenders online

Finalises Railway Nirapatta Bahini Bill-2015

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways Ministry yesterday recommended taking necessary steps to invite all tenders of Bangladesh railway through e-process to check irregularities.

The committee came up with the recommendation at its 18th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman, ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, in the chair.

The parliamentary watchdog also finalised its report on the “Railway Nirapatta Bahini Bill-2015” after scrutiny for placing it before the House.

It also held an elaborate discussion on the progress of implementing its decisions taken at its 16th meeting.

Committee members, Railways Minister M Mazibul Hoque, Moslem Uddin, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Sirajul Islam Mollah and Mohammad Noman, attended the meeting.
