Jhut godown gutted in Ashulia

Fire gutted a tin-roofed jhut godown (scrap fabrics from garment factories) in Gazirchot area of Ashulia on Thursday night.

Godown owner Shopon Mia said the fire started around 10:30pm. Firefighters brought the fire under control after one hour. They said the fire might have originated from an electric short circuit. The damage could not be estimated immediately.
