Jean-Pierre Lacroix due today

The United Nations (UN) Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix arrives today on a three-day visit. 

During the tour, he will meet high government, military and police officials to discuss the initiatives to make peacekeeping more focused, safer and stronger.

After leaving Dhaka on June 26, the UN official will visit Kathmandu and New Delhi, before concluding his trip to the region in Islamabad on July 3, UN officials said.
