Jamaat leader held with arms

Police arrested a leader of Jamaat-e-Islami with firearms in his house at Godagari upazila in Rajshahi early yesterday.

Acting on a tip-off, Godagari police held Md Abdul Aziz Hamim, rokon of Matikata union unit of Jamaat, and seized a 7.65mm pistol, a magazine and four bullets from his bedroom.

Aziz could not show any licence for the pistol, police said.
