The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) meet in Dhaka tomorrow will be a unique opportunity to brand and showcase Bangladesh, its President Saber Hossain Chowdhury said today.

“We will uphold Bangladesh as a country of possibilities and vibrant economy at the international stage,” he told a pre-meet press brief held in the capital.

Terming it as a green assembly the IPU president also said: “Till now we have 1348 delegates on their way for getting together here.”

The meet offers Bangladesh immense respect and provides the opportunity for reaching higher stages of development through tapping the benefits of international trade and investment, Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said in the briefing.
