Int'l conference kicks off at CU

A four-day international conference was inaugurated at Chittagong University yesterday, organised by CU Model United Nations Association (CUMUNA). 

Based on this year's theme styled "Moralizing youth for a world free of terrorism," CUMUNA delegates set their topics on Yemen crisis, extra-judicial killings, drug addiction, indigenous women rights re-establishment and so on. 

A total of 400 delegates from different educational institutions took part in the conference. Of them, nearly 30 delegates came from Thailand, India, Nepal, Sri-Lanka and Afghanistan. CU Vice-Chancellor Prof Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury inaugurated the conference in the afternoon.
