ICT to decide Dr Zafrullah's fate tomorrow

The International Crimes Tribunal-2 yesterday deferred the date for passing order on contempt of court proceedings against Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Zafrullah Chowdhury.

Zafrullah, also a freedom fighter, was present before the court .

On August 10, the tribunal had fixed August 30 to pass an order.

He, if found guilty, may face up to one year imprisonment or Tk 5,000 fine or both. Zafrullah faced contempt charges for criticising the verdict of a tribunal on Bangladesh-based UK journalist David Bergman last December.
