Human trafficker held in N'ganj

Police yesterday arrested a man at Fatullah in Narayanganj on charge of trafficking a woman to a brothel in India last year.

The arrestee, Rezaul Karim, 40, a resident of Talla area, sold his 22-year-old family acquaintance to a human trafficking gang member Rajib, of Jessore's Narail on June 25, 2016. Rezaul lured the woman with fake job promise. The victim later managed to contact her relative Rafiqul Islam. Rafiqul filed a case against Rezaul and his wife Sadia Begum.
