Home minister for appropriate measures to ensure justice for Khadiza

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said that he would will take appropriate measures to ensure trial of Badrul, who brutally hacked Sylhet college student Khadiza on October 3.

“Not only framing charge sheet, we are also taking appropriate measures to bring the attacker to justice promptly,” the minister said.

He was speaking as the chief guest at a programme on the 9th National Annual Quality Convention on Education at University of Asia Pacific in Green Road of Dhaka this afternoon.

“The attacker will be tried befittingly and the people of Bangladesh will see how speedily the trial is ensured,” Kamal said.

Khadiza Begum Nargis was hacked multiple times by Badrul Alam, a fourth-year student of economics at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Sust) and also the senior assistant secretary of the Sust unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League.

Khadiza, a 23-year-old college student, is now undergoing treatment at Neuro Intensive Care Unit of the capital's Square Hospital.
