Himu murder case verdict date deferred

The verdict in the Himu murder case will not be delivered today as the judge of the court went on leave, said court sources.

The court, later, will set the date to deliver the verdict, said the sources.

According to the prosecution, on April 27 in 2012, centering his anti-drug role in the locality, Himadri Majumder Himu, was brutally beaten and dogs were unleashed upon him. Later, he was pushed off a four-storey building in Panchlaish Residential Area in the city. Himu died at a Dhaka hospital on May 23, 2012.

A murder case was filed against are Shah Selim Tipu, Shahadat Hossain Saju, Jahedul Islam Shawon, Mahboob Ali Khan Danny and Tipu's son Junaid Ahmed Riad.
