The Chittagong Board saw a higher percentage of pass rate in this year's HSC examination as the three hill districts performed better than the previous year.

The results of Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachhari influence the results every year, said the board controller Mahbub Hasan, adding that this year's overall pass rate is 64.6 percent, 1.11 percent higher than the previous year.

The pass rate of Bandarban is 61.64 percent, showing a 3.65 percent rise; Rangamati and Khagrachhari are 47.14 and 51.7 respectively, which were 43.91 and 50.16 last year.

Cox's Bazar and Chittagong stand at 63.74 and 67.58 percents respectively.

Most of the hill districts' students do not get opportunities to study for lacking skilled teachers and good schools, said Mahbub, adding, “As per our direction, teachers' took extra care of the students. We will continue this initiative.”
