HC asks govt to give MPO facilities to 13 teachers in two districts

The High Court yesterday directed the government to give monthly pay order (MPO) facilities to 13 teachers of three private educational institutions in Patuakhali and Jamalpur.

The bench of Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam and Justice KM Kamrul Kader passed the order after hearing two separate writ petitions filed by the 13 teachers in December last year, seeking necessary order on the government to give them MPO facilities.

The institutions are Engineer Faruk Talukder Women's Degree College in Baufal upazila in Patuakhali and Jamalpur High School and Badua High School.

The HC delivered the verdict on the ground that the deprived teachers have fulfilled all the conditions for getting the MPO facilities, he added.
